Job Update

I know that a lot of my readers are interested in my job (jobless) situation. I have applied for a relief driver position at Frito Lay. It has been three weeks since completing two interviews and a ride along, I am still waiting for the manager to return my four messages. My wife's, mother's husband(new step dad) is in the grocery industry and recently had the opportunity to talk to the Frito Lay manager. Apparently he will hire me if one of his existing employees is not able to return to work from medical leave but it is taking longer than expected for the medical situation to resolve. The Frito Lay manager indicated that I am his first choice to hire if the need arises.

Many of you know that I have an alternative job prospect in my back pocket. I have the option to attend truck driving school, free of charge. I was able to postpone my admission date to June 26, 2008. If I don't have a final answer by then, I will put Frito Lay in my proverbial back pocket and jump in to truck driving school with both feet (Lord willing).
