Quote (Dr Albert Mohler from the Albert Mohler Program May 15th 2008)
“Our belief in the self reveling God has to do with the fact that we have come by faith to believe that He is and that He has spoken to us in his word and that He has spoken to us most completely in His son. We really don't need, and we should not depend upon, borrowed credibility from external sources to try to bolster, either our private or our public understandings of the Christian faith.”(Dr Albert Mohler the Albert Mohler Program 5-15-08)

Dr. Albert Mohler...a direct quote "We really don't need, and we should not depend upon, borrowed credibility from external sources to try to bolster, either our private or our public understandings of the Christian faith".
hmmm.....then should we even be listening to Albert Mohler in the first place?
Rich,
Excellent question. Dr Mohler could be thought of as one who lends credibility to our faith. but what then if he does something to discredit himself? The question is not should we listen to and learn from men like Dr Mohler, but rather do we look to him as an example of what our faith should be. We should not let celebrity types be an example to follow but rather we should be willing to rely on what scripture tells us about how to live in our faith. Let me put the quote in it's proper context. Albert Einstien was recently proved to be a strong athiest and many christians are disapointed that such a great thinker does not believe in God. Dr Mohler's point was that Albert Einstien's opinion of God should not be allowed to play a role in discrediting or bolstering the Christian faith.
David
err DID not believe in God, Einstien is dead
