My family went to church without me yesterday because I came down with a cold. When they returned, my daughers were singing a fun song that I remember from long ago, "little bitty seeds".
I Graduated truck school with flying colors, and can now legally drive just about anything I can get my hands on. Not only was truck school a learning experience but I had the opportunity to model God's love to the instructors and other students. When I first walked on to the campus, there was very little edifying conversation. Most of the students were staring at the dirty shop floor and the instructors were acting like drill sergeants on the first day of basic training. One student in particular had been struggling to make progress and the instructor had all but given up on him. I felt compassion for both the instructor and the student. I never had the chance to articulate the Gospel but I believe that God was glorified in my time there. By the time I left, most of the students and instructors were happily sharing in each others progress and able to laugh at each others mistakes. I never did explain the Gospel, but every one I talked to knows that I am a follower of Christ and that my attitude stems from God's grace given to me as a believer. I pray that the small seeds I left at that school will find fertile ground, and sprout according to God's perfect will. (Luke 8: 4-15)
Until next time
David

It's good to see you back blogging! Praise God for the opportunity He gave you in truck driving school to model God's grace to those around you. I pray that God will bring another believer into those people's lives to water the seeds planted.
I also pray God will soon make clear His will for provision for a job for you.
Welcome back to the blogoshpere!
What an excellent report and great analogy with the song little bitty seeds.
We talked about the parable of the soils just last night. What a coincidence.
Were the seeds that tried to sprout but failed sowed in unbelievers hearts? Does only the good soil represent a true believer?
I pray that some seed at the school may indeed find good soil and produce 10 fold, or 100 fold, or more!
Keep up the thought provoking blogs.
