Job Updtate!

Who would have guessed that for me, the best thing is still "sliced bread"?
It has been nearly 8 months since I lost my insurance sales job. I have applied to scores of jobs and even graduated truck driving school. In these months I have watched a lot of television, remodeled my grandmother's bathroom, replaced my uncles front porch, cut down five trees for my grandpa, cut down 2 trees of my own, gone fishing, gone shooting, gone hiking, left my old church, found a new church, attended Sheppard's Conference, written over 50 articles on SCRIPTURE HOUND, and collected over 15 unemployment checks.
I finally accepted a full time position with Wonder Bread, as a relief driver. I am relieved that I won't be leaving my family for months at a time as a trucker and I may even be able to pick my children up at school every day.
I am scheduled to attend a one day orientation in Sacramento this Friday, and will begin training here in Redding on Monday. My primary duty will be to cover vacation routes for regular drivers, and delivering, stocking, and rotating the company product in grocery stores and restaurants. I will have Wednesdays and Sundays off, work from 4am to approximately 3pm, and receive a comprehensive benefits package as a teamsters union member. I have been informed that I will not have to make cold calls or try to steel customers from the competition.
This is a direct answer to all of the prayers of friends, and family all over the country. I am pleased and exited about this opportunity. Please continue to pray that I will be faithful in sharing the Gospel even in this new endeavor.

Until next time

David
